Meissen circa 1970 German Birds Crossbill Coffee Cup and Saucer

The cup is approximately 6.5 cm H, with a rim diameter of approximately 8.7 cm D. The saucer is approximately 14.3 cm D.

There is very little wear from use, and it is in beautiful, good vintage condition.

The bird is believed to be a crossbill.

It has a rather mischievous expression, and its beak is its charming feature 🐦.

It is said that when Jesus Christ was crucified, the crossbill tried to pull out the nails, and its beak became crossed.

The crossbill is a good bird.
