There seem to be several levels of gold gilding on the Kurland pattern. There are patterns where gold gilding is applied to both the dotted rim and the ribbon garland. In this set, only the dots have gold gilding, and the garland part is white. There are also versions without any gold gilding.
The presence of gold gilding significantly changes the impression.
This square tray does not have gold gilding.
