I had absolutely no idea what the small octagonal mortar-like object from Herend (approx. 4.3 cm H) was used for.
When I asked, I received an immediate answer. Very kind. Herend of Hungary, bravo!
So, I'm reintroducing the three items that I previously presented separately, but this time as a set.
It's a set for cigarettes and roll-your-own tobacco, with an octagonal base of the same shape serving as a cigarette stand (approx. 5.8 cm H, 6.5 cm D mouth diameter), and an accompanying small plate (approx. 11 cm D diameter).
When it comes to worlds unknown, one simply cannot imagine.
The world of roll-your-own tobacco seems profound. There appear to be various flavors.
Unfortunately, it seems that modern smokers might feel a bit out of place, but perhaps enjoying a puff of smoke is one of life's pleasures.
There was a specialized cigar and chocolate shop in Uppsala, and I found it interesting how many men, gazing at cigars and cigarillos neatly arranged in beautiful boxes, and many women and children, seriously scrutinizing shiny praline chocolates, showed the same seriousness and enthusiasm, even though their objects of interest differed.
Chocolate, coffee, tea, tobacco. Indulgences that have been loved throughout human history. Personally, I think a life without chocolate would be the most difficult.

There are small scratches and wear due to use, age, and use, but no noticeable large scratches or damage. It is in good vintage condition.
