PROF. JULIUS EDUARD BRAUNSDORF (1841 - 1922)
Without him, this beauty would not have been born.

I would be delighted if you could just take a look at it here.
It's a plate that I instinctively find beautiful, without hesitation. It's beautiful on sunny days, cloudy days, and rainy days, with the varying light and humidity in the air. On happy days, sad days, and difficult days, it will be beautiful, accompanying the heart of the moment.

Julius Eduard Braunsdorf
1841-1922
German watercolorist and porcelain painter. After completing his apprenticeship at the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, he worked there as a flower painter from 1858 to 1862. As early as 1861, he was awarded a prize for his first major work. In 1862, he presented several of his designs at the London World Exhibition. From 1880, he served as a drawing teacher and in 1900 he was appointed professor at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. Braunsdorf developed a painterly style characterized by soft transitions from the main motif to the background and nuanced color transitions. His style revolutionized Meissen flower painting and was imitated many times.
