KPM Gold Futsie. Diameter 18.8cm D.
On the back is "Ahorn," which is German for maple. I asked Google Translate, which I always rely on, how to pronounce it, and it seems that if you express it in Katakana, it's "A-hon," with the accent on "A." A-hon...
I think the name "maple" and its sound are very beautiful. It's also used in names, isn't it? And in Spitz's masterpiece as well.
In Swedish, it's called "Lönn." It's pronounced "Lonn," but the Ö is pronounced somewhere between "eh" and "oh."
I was so happy when I found "Japansklönn," Japanese maple, at a garden center. I bought two and planted them in my garden. Sometimes they appear in the photos of antique Tanaka online products. By the way, the leaves in this photo are grape leaves.
It's a beautiful plate.
No noticeable major scratches or damage to mention. Circa 1915.
