Tulip dinnerware designed by Alf Wallander (1862-1914).

Tulip is one of Rörstrand's Art Nouveau/Jugendstil dinnerware series.

The pale-colored tulip appetizer/lunch plates are approximately 20.5 cm in diameter.

The price is for a set of two plates.

After studying as a painter in Stockholm and Paris, Alf Wallander joined Rörstrand in 1895, became art director in 1900, and worked there until 1910.

He rose to fame with his delicate Art Nouveau floral porcelain exhibited at the Paris Exposition around 1900.

Four tulips rest on the rim. The purple and yellow gradient of the flowers... the swaying green leaves... beautiful...

There is wear and minor scratches due to age and use.
