This is not damage, but in the last photo, the edge on the back looks like a chip, but it is not a chip as it is properly glazed. (Am I being too persistent? Lol.)
I believe it's a state where glaze was applied over a slight shaving during the shaping process before firing.
This is quite a rare item, so I hope you won't mind this.
