Veronica praecox All. Veronica is a genus in the Plantaginaceae family, native to Europe, and is said to have many varieties.
The lid is from 1962, the cup from 1963, and the saucer from 1965. Although the years differ, they are close in age, and Flora Danica's painting technique and form are consistent, so there is no sense of incongruity. It's solid ☺.
There are some minor signs of wear and small scratches due to use and age, but these are minimal, and the gilding is also in beautiful, good condition.
