Bing & Grøndahl's Christmas Rose series.
This is a teacup and saucer set.
The cup is approximately 5.6 cm H, 9.5 cm D at the rim, with a capacity of approximately 250-260 ml.
The saucer is approximately 15 cm D.
Of these, only two of the cups were manufactured by Royal Copenhagen in the 1980s.
After merging with Bing & Grøndahl, Royal Copenhagen also took over the manufacturing of B&G's series.
Therefore, for two of the cup and saucer sets, the cups are made by Royal Copenhagen and the saucers are made by Bing & Grøndahl.
This set, symbolizing the history and story of the two companies, makes for a great talking point at tea time. (laughs)
It's nice to be able to buy replacement pieces from the same series and continue using them if a cup or saucer breaks or chips.
It's also nice that the merging company continues to manufacture series from the company whose name disappeared.
The last photo shows it alongside a Christmas Rose coffee cup and saucer.
There are small scratches and wear from use and age.
No significant damage is noticeable.
