This is a deep plate, not a flat one.
A plate made in 1910, featuring a German floral bouquet and insects, cobalt fond, and gilding.
The painting is so exquisite, you'd be compelled to say, "Wow, I'm impressed!"
As you finish your soup, and this flower appears, you'll surely want to use bread to scrape up all the soup to get a good look at the painting. While you're eating, you'll admire the wonderful flowers anew.
I understood "1910," but I hadn't seen the "S" much, so I asked A-san, an antique dealer in Germany, what it meant. She said it was probably part of a dinner service, and the "S" was likely the owner's monogram.
It is in very good condition for an antique. Any wear to the gilding is minimal.
